It has always made me happy to be working with my hands, building and creating, striving to do my best. We’ve heard the saying that it takes a village and I believe that together we at Terra Firma are the village and each person involved is just as important as the next. We rely on each other to see the projects through to completion and I’m grateful to be a part of that process.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a maker and a fixer. My father was in the trades and I was always in awe of his ability to do just about anything. Those memories were always percolating even as I pursued a career as an artist earning a BFA in painting, and then an MFA in sculpture. During that time I did construction projects to pay my bills only later realizing the medium I worked best in was wood! Forty years later I still love the work we do, the process, the problem solving and of course the people.

Passions and Pursuits

I enjoy my life with my wife Juli, family and friends. I love dogs,

making art, attempting to craft a great poem, camping, playing guitar, hiking, hearing live music and seeking the perfect IPA.
